1. Acceptance of the Terms
By accessing and using the Trebjesa BioMap web platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms of Use.
If you do not agree with the Terms, please do not use the platform or its interactive features.

3. Purpose of the Platform
Trebjesa BioMap is a non-commercial digital platform intended to:
- present the Trebjesa BioMap project;
- provide information about the biodiversity of Trebjesa park-forest;
- display locations, species, habitats and protected zones;
- educate citizens, students and visitors;
- publish photographs, videos and other content;
- enable the reporting of species sightings and environmental problems;
- connect physical information boards with digital content;
- encourage citizen science and responsible interaction with nature.
4. Informational Nature of the Content
The platform provides informational, educational and popular science content.
Although we seek to ensure that information is accurate, current and professionally reviewed, we do not guarantee that all content will be complete or error-free at all times.
The content does not replace:
- an official opinion of a competent authority;
- professional biological or ecological research;
- legal, medical or safety advice;
- emergency reporting to competent services.
5. The BioMap Application
The interactive BioMap application may be developed and published in stages.
Certain functions, locations, species, map layers or media may be temporarily unavailable, incomplete or marked as being prepared.
We reserve the right to add to, modify, temporarily restrict or improve the application without prior notice.
6. Reporting Sightings and Problems
Users may submit information through the designated form concerning:
- plant and animal species;
- photographs of sightings;
- approximate or precise locations;
- waste and illegal dumping;
- smoke or fire;
- damage to vegetation;
- environmental degradation;
- damaged infrastructure;
- injured or dead animals;
- other environmental problems.
Submitting a report does not guarantee that it will be verified, published or forwarded to a particular authority.
7. The Platform Is Not an Emergency Service
Trebjesa BioMap is not an emergency reporting system and reports submitted through the platform may not be reviewed immediately.
Where there is an immediate threat to people, animals, property or nature, including an active fire, the user should contact the competent emergency or local service without delay.
Submitting a website form does not replace contacting the competent authorities.
8. Expert Review of Reports
User reports are not automatically considered scientifically verified data.
A report may be:
- reviewed by the administrative team;
- forwarded to a biologist or another expert;
- forwarded to a competent authority;
- marked as verified, incomplete or unreliable;
- archived without public display;
- published in an edited, shortened or anonymised form.
The organisation reserves the right not to publish a report that is insufficiently clear, relevant, reliable or appropriate for the purpose of the platform.
9. User Responsibilities
By using the platform, you agree to:
- provide information in good faith;
- not knowingly submit false or misleading information;
- not present another person’s content as your own;
- not submit content that infringes the rights of others;
- not submit offensive, threatening or unlawful material;
- not attempt to compromise website security;
- not use automated systems to submit spam;
- not use the platform for commercial advertising;
- respect nature, habitats and the rules applicable to the protected area.
Users must not endanger themselves, other people, animals or habitats for the purpose of taking photographs or collecting information.
10. Rights in Submitted Content
By submitting a photograph, description or other material, you confirm that:
- you are the author or have the right to submit it;
- the content does not infringe copyright, privacy or other third-party rights;
- you have the necessary permission from identifiable persons shown in a photograph;
- submission of the content is lawful.
You retain copyright in your original content.
Where you authorise use of the material through the form, you grant Zeleni centar a non-exclusive and royalty-free licence to use it for non-commercial environmental, educational, project and popular science purposes, including the right to:
- store it;
- review it;
- technically process it;
- adapt it for display;
- translate it;
- reproduce it;
- publish it;
- display it on the platform;
- use it in project reports and promotional materials.
User contact details are not included in the licence for public use.
11. Protection of Sensitive Locations
To protect rare, threatened or protected species, the platform may:
- conceal precise locations;
- display only a wider area;
- modify publicly displayed coordinates;
- restrict access to detailed information;
- refuse publication where disclosure could endanger a species or habitat.
12. Platform Intellectual Property
Except for content owned by third parties, platform content, including:
- texts;
- design;
- logo;
- graphic elements;
- illustrations;
- photographs;
- videos;
- maps;
- database structure;
- software and interactive elements,
is protected by applicable copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Sharing a link to publicly available content is permitted.
Copying, adapting, distributing or commercially using content without permission is prohibited, except where expressly permitted by law.
13. Third-Party Photographs and Content
Some photographs, illustrations, maps, videos or documents may belong to authors, institutions or other rights holders.
Such content may be marked with the author’s name, source, licence or other rights information.
Users must comply with the stated conditions.
14. External Links
The platform may contain links to websites operated by:
- institutions;
- media outlets;
- professional organisations;
- social networks;
- partners;
- other information providers.
External websites are not under our control.
We are not responsible for their content, availability, security, accuracy or privacy practices.
15. Availability and Security
We will seek to keep the platform available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation without technical issues.
Access may be temporarily restricted due to:
- maintenance;
- technical changes;
- security requirements;
- service provider failure;
- force majeure;
- events beyond our reasonable control.
Unauthorised access, disruption, introduction of malicious code or circumvention of security measures is prohibited.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zeleni centar will not be liable for loss arising from:
- relying solely on informational content provided by the platform;
- inaccurate or incomplete user submissions;
- temporary website unavailability;
- use of external links;
- acts or omissions of third parties;
- use of the platform contrary to these Terms;
- field activities undertaken by a user at their own risk.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
17. Privacy
The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of the rules applicable to use of the platform.
18. Changes to the Platform and Terms
We may modify the platform, its functions or these Terms in order to:
- improve the platform;
- resolve technical issues;
- comply with applicable law;
- protect security;
- reflect changes in the scope of the project.
The updated version will be published on this page with the date of the latest revision.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Montenegro.
Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent authorities and courts of Montenegro, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
